Welcome to Soul Psychology Online Community & Resource!

Once you are a member of Soul Psychology, you can become an active part of this online community and resource by accessing and sharing events, videos and photographs, starting and taking part in groups and forum discussions, and by spreading the word to your friends and colleagues in the world of transpersonal and esoteric psychology and therapy. Or you can simply use the website to keep in touch with others who share your personal and professional interests. Enjoy this opportunity to make contact, promote the voice of the transpersonal and help this soul-inspired resource and community flourish.

The underlying ethos of this online community and resource is that it is free to members. However, Ning charge a yearly fee to keep the network operational. At such times, it is helpful to receive small donations to help cover the basic costs, and when this is necessary a Donate tab is made available (see top right). If this tab is not there, the costs have been covered and so there is no longer a need for any further funds for the current year. Such contributions make it possible to keep the network available and are therefore greatly appreciated.

Shared Resource

As a member of Soul Psychology, you are able to share information that you feel others may find of interest. For example, if you are aware of any workshops or events, you can add these to the appropriate pages, or if you have a particular interest you can start a group so others can join and take part in this. In fact, you can add to almost all the pages on the website. You can do this yourself by following the instructions on each of the pages - if you are unsure about any of these, please feel free to contact Melody for further information.

Individual Pages

In addition to being able to add to the various pages and sections of the website, as a member of Soul Psychology you also have your own individual page. Within this page you are able to update your professional profile, share additional information relating to your personal and professional interests, add blog details, and post photos and images that you would like to share with others. You are able to remove the green welcome box at the top of the page by clicking on the 'x' within this box. You are also able to change the theme of your individual page, which includes the underlying layout, pattern and colours, plus move many of the boxes around as required. All of this not only provides an opportunity to create a meaningful space for you, but also adds to the unique quality of Soul Psychology as a whole.

You can access Chat either via the boxes at the bottom of the network pages, or by clicking on the Chat tab at the top of the page. You will notice that you will be able to see who is currently online. If you wish to chat to another member who is online, you can do this either in the Main Room, which is a public area, or in a separate/private chat room, i.e., by clicking on their name. Once they accept your request to chat, you will then see another separate box. If the Chat boxes are open and you do not wish to see them, but wish to remain visible in Chat, you can minimize these by clicking on the - symbol at the top of the boxes. Alternatively, if you do not wish to use Chat or for others to be able to see you are online, e.g., if you wish to access Soul Psychology but do not have time to converse, you can take your Chat facility offline. This can be done by pointing at and clicking the Options icon at the bottom right of the Members box (this looks a little like a small wheel), and clicking on Connected to Chat. This will remove you from the list, but you will still be able to move around the remainder of Soul Psychology as you wish.

NutshellMail: Network Newsletter / Updates

Through NutshellMail you will receive brief updates about Soul Psychology via your email, which means you will be kept up to date with recent activity and additions to the network. If you wish to receive information this way, go to the NutshellMail box at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions. As you will see, you will able to control what information is sent to you and when, so you won't feel overwhelmed by even more unwanted information arriving in your inbox!  You can also make additional changes by going to the NutshellMail website after subscribing here, i.e., You will be asked to create an account with your email address and a password once you get there, and will then be able to adjust times and other information as you wish.

Care and Respect

Administrators of Soul Psychology will remove members or information deemed to be inappropriate or offensive. They also have the right to decline any membership applications considered to be unsuitable. Although it is hoped that no such instances will occur, these options are here for the protection and comfort of all involved in this online community and resource.

Words of Wisdom

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared" (Buddha)

"We need to remember that where we are going is here, that any practice is simply a means to open our heart to what is in front of us. Where we already are is the path and the goal" (Jack Kornfield)

"We are not powerless specks of dust drifting around in the wind, blown by random destiny. We are, each of us, like beautiful snowflakes - unique, and born for a specific reason and purpose" (Elisabeth Kübler-Ross)

"Musicians must make music, artists must paint, poets must write if they are to be ultimately at peace with themselves. What human beings can be, they must be. They must be true to their own nature" (Abraham Maslow)

"There is no certainty; there is only adventure” (Roberto Assagioli)

"Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakens" (Carl Jung)
